Call-N-Response: Smushy Teddy

Listen

Hii Team's Image Association Game. “Let’s give sound to this image, chosen by Myra, it's a lil teddy bear trying its best"

What song do you associate with the below image? Find out what our team thinks and listen to the accompanying playlist.

Andres:
[Bogdan Rasczynski - MyLoveILove] The image immediately brought this song to mind. The lazy beat, the hurt slightly out of tune singing and the lyrics at the end bring a crushed teddy bear to mind.

Spurge:
[Papa Roach - Last Resort] My first thought is this classic. While I would rather the lyric be "smush my life into pieces" to better fit the image - it still feels like a 1:1 match.

Guin:
[Bill Callahan - America] (from the aptly titled album Apocalyspe) this lil bear is utterly nailing the 'just-tryin-to-make-it-through-the-day-while-also-feeling-crushed-by-the-weight-of-the-world-post-checking-the-news-again' kinda vibe.

Maya:
[Deftones- Mascara] I am the bear, mascara by deftones is the giant glass disc table thing. sometimes feeling crushed by a wall of guitars and sadness is necessary, regardless of how suneshine-y the weather (or my demeanor) is on that particular day.

Kira:
[The Decemberists - The Gymnast, High Above the Ground] This bear clearly has a flair for the dramatic. i recently went on a deep dive into old decemberists music, a band which is undeniably, unapologetically theatrical. i think this bear would have identified with this song.

Myra:
[Brian Eno - By This River] Brian Eno’s By This River comes to mind. It’s been an essential part of the sound track to my sad boy episodes. I love this bear and hope better days lie ahead for him.
